Air Quality Monitoring

Air Quality Monitoring

Airscan AQM is the only Air Quality Monitoring solution that collects journey time information on roads and combines this with air pollution data.

Combining traffic management data together with Air Quality monitoring offers a unique opportunity for Local Authorities to analyse good-quality data and assess even further the impact traffic congestion has on the air we breathe.

Airscan’s bespoke hardware, manufactured in the UK, uses the latest generation of electrochemical sensor technology and LoRaWAN communication to collect and record real-time data onto its secure online dashboard.

  • Gases Measured :

  • Wireless Communications : 3G/4G/LTE/LoRaWAN
  • Airscan AQM can be connected to the Airscan Journey Time Solution, or can work completely seperate
  • Lightweight and easy to install
  • Real-time secure online data

The typical cost of a static Air Quality monitoring station is over £50k with annual maintenance costs of £1,000s each year. Airscan AQM is low cost and will enable clients to cover more space, quickly and cost effectively.

With brackets for easy mounting, Airscan AQM is easy to set up and install, extremely portable and the perfect solution to install alongside busy roads out of reach. Enables you to monitor Air Quality in built up areas and more places than previously possible.

Data collected from Airscan AQM is displayed in real-time onto our online management dashboard. The status of each unit is displayed together with easy to read dials on the opening pages. More detailed graphs allow to drill down and analyse the data on a minute by minute, day by day basis.

Airscan AQM uses LoRaWAN communniations, enabling each unit to connect over a secure network to one central Gateway. This form of communication removes the need for data sim cards, therefore reducing the data costs.

The Airscan platform has an API to enable any third party to incorporate the data into their applications. Data can be shared with national data centres to be interrogated and analysed alongside other sources.

School Projects

Airscan AQM provides an easy to use platform for Citizen Science Projects to enable students to monitor and map community air quality. We enable communities across the UK to actively engage in air quality monitoring activities.
